Kunal Nayyar is Rajesh Koothrappali Ramayan, an astrophysicist. This character represents the stereotype of an Indian living in America. His family is very rich and is the one of the group who would have fewer problems if it were not suffering from a rare disorder (selective mutism) that prevents him from talking to women, only communicates with them if he is drunk (or think he might) or take a experimental drug used in clinical studies and cause side effects.
Kunal interprets Raj--gets nervous, hates Indian food, doesn´t speak to women-- a typical Indian boy.
The more times Rajesh encounters beautiful women, the more times he gets nervous and avoids them.
When he gets nervous, he wants to go to the bathroom. He hates Indian food and feel a bit discriminated against by others. His best friend is Howard, although he often leave to go to any pretty girl.
